As far back as the 9th century, Metropolitan Hilarion of Kyiv said: "The Church is wonderful and glorious to all the surrounding countries ...". This monument of architecture is so significant that it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. In 2011 the Cathedral celebrated a 1000 years since the foundation.

The Mezhyhirya Residence and Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra

Moving to the village of Novi Petrivtsi, we will have a walk in Mezhyhirya. The Mezhyhirya complex is a former private residence of Viktor Yanukovych in the village of Novi Petrivtsi, Vyshhorod District, Kyiv Oblast, where he had been living since 2002 till 2014. Mezhyhirya was a state governmental residence from 1935 to 2007, until it was transferred to private ownership. The 140-hectares complex Mezhyhirya has a five-meter high fence with perimeter length of 54 km. On the territory of the complex there are a yacht pier, an equestrian club, a shooting gallery, a tennis court and other entertaining and tourist attractions, as well as hunting grounds. Journalists and politicians call Mezhyhirya a symbol of presidential corruption and a museum of corruption.
