Early departure for Rivne: we are going to visit the Amber Museum and Shop and also Museum of Cosmonautics in Zhytomyr! Our first stop has the purpose to visit Sergei Pavlovich Korolyov Museum of Cosmonautics in Zhytomyr. The museum was opened in 1970 in Zhytomyr, where the future founder of practical space exploration was born in 1907. The memorial part of the museum is situated in a small house, in which, the Korolyovs lived in the beginning of 20th century. All interiors are restored according to the memories of his mother. The pavilion "Kosmos" was opened in 1991; its exposition presents the originals and models of space vehicles, spacesuits and other equipment of cosmonauts. Among them there are full-size replica of a complete Soyuz spacecraft, the Lunokhod 2 lunar rover and the Soyuz 27 descent module, which was really used in space. One of the most valuable exhibit is a capsule with a small sample of lunar soil, donated by NASA. This place is worth seeing! We will have a stop for a lunch at the restaurant with Ukrainian cuisine during our way. Arrival in Rivne. We are going to visit the Amber Museum, which is the only one in Ukraine. The Amber Musium was opened in the city of Rivne on the basis Rivne Amber Factory, the State Enterprise "Burshtyn of Ukraine" (Ukrainian Amber). The exhibits will tell you not only about the history of amber mining in the region, but also about the only enterprise in Ukraine that is engaged in its processing. At the end of excursion you can visit the shop of Ukrainian Amber.
