Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra is an outstanding monument of Christianity, which history is an amazing interweaving of destinies and dramatic events. A visit to the Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra is the main event of any tour of Kiev. Every year, a huge number of pilgrims and tourists visit the holy monastery.

You are invited to visit the greatest monument of Slavic and World culture, history, architecture and art - Saint Sophia's Cathedral. It was built back in the 11th century, it has always fascinated people as an outstanding architectural monument and an unrivaled work of art, as one of the greatest temples of world civilization. As far back as the 9th century, Metropolitan Hilarion of Kyiv said: "The Church is wonderful and glorious to all the surrounding countries ...". This monument of architecture is so significant that it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. In 2011 the Cathedral celebrated a 1000 years since the foundation.

Pechersk District and the museums of Kyiv

You are welcome to the tour "The architectural masterpieces of Pechersk District": you will see Gingerbread and Chocolate Houses, the Arab House, the Pink Castle and the House of the Weeping Widow. We will also meet the House with Chimaeras, the building of the National Bank of Ukraine, the Institute for Noble Maidens, the Klov Palace and Mariyinskyi Palace.

Optionally, you can visit Pinchuk Art Center: an international center for contemporary art. The other option is the Museum of Ukrainian Nation Formation - this is the first innovative museum of history in Ukraine, where the past is combined with modern technologies. This is a modern museum in which the famous pages of our state come to life. You will be able to get acquainted with the centuries-old history of the Ukrainian nation. You will go through 25 expositions and see stories with absolutely realistic 3D models of outstanding figures: kings and hetmans, military and scientists, artists and athletes.

Now we are going to have an excursion to the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Folkways of Ukraine. This is a walking tour on the territory of the open-air museum, where you will be able to see old Ukrainian churches and huts, colorful courtyards and real "shynok" (a kind of authentic Ukrainian tavern), the house of a priest and picturesque mills.

As an alternative, you can visit the Mezhyhirya Residence (the residence of the former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych). During the tour you will be impressed by the large-scale territory of the well-groomed reserve. Everywhere there are fabulous lawns and beautiful flower beds full of plants and flowers. We will meet amazing clean ponds with fountains and small oases with different compositions.

The centre of Hutsul culture

We would like to invite you to the sightseeing tour in the centre of Hutsul culture - the village of Verkhovyna. This village is located in the mountains, therefore, the authentic culture and spirit of the real Hutsuls are preserved here. During a sightseeing tour in Verkhovyna, we will walk around the downtown, cross the suspended bridge and continue walking down to the Cheremosh river.

We will also visit Roman Kumlyk Museum of Musical Instruments and Hutsuls Lifestyle, where we will be able not only to inspect the exhibits and take photos, but also attend a mini-concert and take part in a master class on playing musical instruments.

The Museum of Hutsul Magic. In the village of Verkhovyna, there is one of the most interesting objects for lovers of mysticism and witchcraft - the Museum of Hutsul Magic. In the museum, there are exhibits telling us about molfars - the Carpathian sorcerers and healers. According to legend, they are carriers of ancient magical knowledge, they are masters of witchcraft with extrasensory abilities.

During your free time we would like to recommend you to have a relax bath in a vat with mineral water. A Carpathian vat is a large cast-iron tank, which is heated with an open campfire from the bottom till temperature of the water in the vat is 40-45 °C. The vat is filled with spring water with herbal decoctions. This mixture perfectly improves immunity, has a calming effect on the body, regulates blood pressure, and improves skin condition. It is especially useful to plunge into cold water after the procedure. That is why, you can safely try the healing power of the Black Cheremosh river, which flows a few steps from the vat.

Polonyna Krynta

We would like to invite you to have ride on an off-road military truck GAZ-66 through the Carpathian serpentines to the pasture where cheese is born.

Polonyna Krynta (mount meadow Krynta) is located on the Krynta-Skupova mountain range, 1200 metres above sea level, the basin of the Black Cheremosh river, Hutsulshchyna (the area of Hutsuls). Krynta is a natural theater for contemplating the Chornohora mountain range.

You will see Hutsul farming and try environmentally friendly brynza (a local feta-like cheese), urda cheese, budz (dried brynza head), butter, sour cream, huslianka (sour boiled milk), serbanka and maslianka. All milk products in Carpatians are very tasty and authentic. You can not only try it, but also take part in the preparation of Polonyna-style cheese, collect healing herbs and berries, find a real porcini mushroom. Return to the hotel.

Rafting day

Today is a rafting day! This is an extreme sport in which a group of people rafts in inflatable boats (rafts) along small rivers with a fast current. Meet incredible views, fresh air and an active leisure! This cocktail of activities will help you to break the stress after city life.
